Buying Guide
What size should I choose?
Size depends on wall space and viewing distance. Larger sizes (27 x 40, 24 x 36) create a focal point in living rooms or home theaters. Smaller 11 x 17 posters fit desks, shelves, or compact walls. For a gallery-style display, mix sizes thoughtfully.
What material and finish matter?
Paper posters deliver a classic look with straightforward framing. Canvas options add texture and a modern feel, often with wrapped edges. Consider fade resistance and durability when placing posters in bright rooms or near windows.
Is framing important?
Framing protects posters and enhances presentation. For large posters, a frame with UV glass can preserve color. For canvases, a ready-to-hang gallery wrap reduces setup time.
Where will I display the art?
Living rooms and media rooms benefit from bold, large posters for impact. Bedrooms and offices can accommodate smaller formats for subtle nods to favorite films. Consider lighting to ensure the image reads clearly from a distance.
What should I avoid?
Avoid placing posters in direct sunlight for extended periods to prevent fading. For mass displays, avoid clutter that reduces focus on the artwork. When unsure about size accuracy, rely on manufacturer-provided dimensions and account for frame margins.
Digital vs. physical impressions
Printed posters capture film aesthetics exactly as designed for display. Canvas scrolls offer a tactile, textured feel that differs from glossy paper posters, appealing to different decor styles and preferences.
