The best Old Testament tabernacle model for teaching the complete sanctuary is a buildable model kit, while a felt set is better for young children and storytelling. The RaoNEE kit includes tabernacle furnishings and figures, and the 328-piece Tabernacle Model Kit offers a hands-on assembly activity. Ark replicas are narrower in scope, but can support lessons focused on the Ark of the Covenant.

RaoNEE The Tabernacle Model Kit
Best for: Bible teachers, homeschool families, and study groups that want a model with recognizable furnishings and people. This 1:90-scale kit has 328 plastic pieces and rubber figures, and is described as easy to assemble.
The listed contents include the Ark of the Covenant, altar of incense, menorah, table of shewbread, laver, brazen altar, priests, and sacrificial animals. The included objects make it useful for explaining the tabernacle’s components rather than presenting only an exterior structure. The manufacturer identifies settings such as Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, home education, and seminaries.
Limitation: Assembly is required, and the feature information does not specify the completed model’s dimensions. Choose another format if you need a ready-to-use visual with no building step.
The Tabernacle Model Kit
Best for: Buyers seeking a hands-on model-building activity for personal learning or classroom demonstrations. The kit has 328 pieces and is described as a detailed, accurate representation of the biblical Tabernacle.
Its plastic construction is identified as lightweight and sturdy. Compared with the felt teaching set, this kit is a better fit when learners can assemble a three-dimensional model. It can provide a physical reference during lessons about the Old Testament tabernacle.
Limitation: The supplied product details do not list the kit’s included furnishings, figures, or final dimensions. Check the product listing if those specifics matter to your lesson plan.
Little Folk Visuals Tabernacle Felt Pieces
Best for: Preschool and early-childhood lessons where children benefit from moving pieces while hearing a story. This set contains 32 precut felt pieces designed to portray the tabernacle’s rooms and furnishings in color.
The pieces are made from 100% polyester and are described as suitable for ages three and up. A felt-board format is easier to use for group storytelling than a model kit that must be assembled. The product is also presented for home play, preschool, daycare, homeschool, and special education settings.
Limitation: This is a flat, interactive teaching aid, not a three-dimensional scale model. Choose a building kit if you need a physical structure for display or spatial demonstrations.
Stunning Ark Of The Covenant Replica
Best for: Collectors and Bible-study participants seeking a focused Ark of the Covenant display. The product is a gold-finish zinc alloy sculpture with sculpted cherubim details. Its listed medium dimensions are 6.14 inches long, 2.36 inches wide, and 3.78 inches high.
The compact size is intended for spaces such as desks, shelves, mantels, and prayer rooms. It can serve as a visual prompt for lessons about the Ark, but it does not represent the complete tabernacle. Select it when the Ark is the specific subject of study or display.
Limitation: This is a decorative Ark replica rather than a complete tabernacle kit, and the listed features do not include separate biblical objects.
Ark Of The Covenant Model Replica
Best for: Buyers who want an Ark-centered teaching display with several associated objects. The listed set includes the Ark, Aaron’s rod, a jar of manna, and stone tablets. Its materials are described as non-toxic resin and polished wood, with smooth edges.
The product is presented for Bible study, religious education, home altar decor, and Sunday school visual lessons. Compared with the single Ark sculpture above, this set includes additional items that can support discussion of the objects associated with the Ark.
Limitation: The listing identifies this as a small Ark replica set, not a full tabernacle model. The supplied details do not provide exact dimensions.
Buying Guide: Choosing An Old Testament Tabernacle Model
Do you need the complete tabernacle or one important object?
For lessons covering the sanctuary as a whole, compare the two 328-piece tabernacle kits first. The RaoNEE listing specifies furniture and figures, making its contents easier to evaluate for detailed teaching. The other kit emphasizes assembly and classroom use but provides fewer itemized contents. Ark replicas are appropriate when the lesson specifically concerns the Ark, not when you need to show the entire structure.
Who will use the model?
For young children, the felt pieces offer hands-on storytelling without a model-building process. For older learners or groups that can assemble a kit, a 328-piece option provides a three-dimensional activity. Consider the age and attention span of the group, the available lesson time, and whether an adult can help with assembly.
Will it be used for teaching or display?
Felt pieces are designed for interactive presentation, while the plastic kits are intended to create a physical model. The two Ark products are more display-oriented, although their listed features also describe educational uses. Check dimensions and included components in the listing before choosing a permanent display piece or planning a classroom layout.
